Psalm 84:3
Yea,the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars,O Lord of hosts,my King, and my God. Psalm 84:3

The Product of Your Hands (M.O.M. Book Club & Link-up – Week 1)
The Product of Your Hands (M.O.M. Book Club & Link-up – Week 1)
Good Morning! Enjoying this beautiful August morning , with coffee of course , and reflecting on chapter one on the Mission of Motherhood(m.o.m).
I,m reflecting on Sally's title of her first chapter: A Mother's Calling, and must admit that at the present time I do not have children of my own but feel right at home in this group as I believe the Lord is Calling me to Mother!
I am very grateful to God that in my own life I have had the opportunity to meet beautiful ladies that have ministered to me through their love and their kindness
and shared their faith in such a way that my mustard seed of faith was fanned with love and lived more strongly in me too as a result of their mothering to me!
I agree with Sally that it is so important as mother's that we recognize the profound need of every child to be loved, cherished, cared for and protected. Funny, as I,m writing
this, it reminds me of a blog title I wanted to write: My Life as a Rib, and I,m reminded of the scripture in Genesis 2:22 Then the Lord God made woman from the rib he had
taken out of the man, and brought her to the man. 23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh, she shall be called woman, for she was taken out of man."
So as a Rib, I see that special role of a woman to guard her husband's heart, and the hearts of her children as they breathe in Love and touch the world. I can remember not quite understanding
what bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh meant, but in the context of husbands and wives making children together, I see children as bone of their bones and flesh of their flesh, and what
a marvelous thing that is!
I see as a rib, us women need to protect the heart and lungs of our home, and previously I have heard that it is the women who are the hearts of the home, but may I suggest in this context I see us a protectors of our husbands hearts, and began to see my hubby (with a heart for God), as the heart of the home and me as a helpmate with a big heart too! What a team the Lord has created to minister to the hearts of children!
Stormie Omartian emphasizes in a early chapter in her book, The Power to Change Your Marriage, that God has a plan for our lives and the lives of our children before we are born.
2Timothy 1:9 (By the Power of God)9who has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given
us in Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
Isn't it neat to realize that mothering embodies nurturing the physical and spiritual lives of our children, and knowing that He has entrusted us with His plans and purposes as well?!
A beautiful picture of motherhood, and of course fatherhood too, to me is revealed in Zephaniah 3:17-20,where our Father in Heaven reassures us he is in the midst of us, is mighty, and is rejoicing over us in joy, resting in his love, and joying over us with singing, gathering the sorrowful hearts, and undoing our afflictions with His song and giving us praise and fame instead of shame, and turning back anything that has held us captive. Wow!

Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty;he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy;he
will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
18 I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.
19 Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them fame and praise in every land where they have been put to shame.
20 At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the Lord.
